The Tote Documentary

A rockumentary six years in the making on Melbourne’s home of Rock ‘n’ Roll, The Tote Hotel. The Documentary looks at the history of the venue, follows it’s last days and the S.L.A.M Rally where the Melbourne Music Community joined forces and hit the streets in a fight for your civil rights protest of gigantic proportions.

I began filming The Tote Documentary (working title) back in June 2004. It was about a week or so after I arrived back in Melbourne after having spent two years living in Sydney with it’s less than adequate amount of music venues. Also the Punters Cub had closed down while I was living in Sydney and that to me was a tragedy. So I borrowed a camera and started filming two days into the Tote’s 21st Birthday celebrations.

Six years on, I am now working to get it done and out.
I can’t wait to show you.
Here is a preview from earlier days (2007). The story has evolved dramatically since.
